Providing Professional Learning
Each year HCLA offers opportunities for professional learning which may include guest speakers, reference materials on a specific topic, reviews of materials, and informing members of events happening in other organization to name a few. Topics of discussion include teaching literacy in a virtual environment, building diverse classroom libraries, student reading and writing conferences, student discourse, vocabulary development, diversity in literature and materials of instruction...and many more!
